Abrogation of discriminatory subsections of Article 370 in J&K will unlock the real potential of trade: Industry leaders

New Delhi, Aug 6 (KNN) The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and Chamber of Traders Federation, Jammu has welcomed the historic move of abrogating discriminatory subsections of Article 370 and reorganization of State into two Union Territories (UTs).

National President of CAIT, B C Bhartia & Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal said “Such a bold step by Prime Minister would end the cycle of mindless violence and unlock the real potential of trade in this beautiful state.”

With Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) becoming a UT, toll tax stands abolished thus fulfilling our long time demand, said Neeraj Anand, President of Chamber of Traders Federation.

The trade leaders further said that “We can foresee a great future ahead for all the people of the state as the doors to development hitherto held hostage by dynasty rulers have been opened by a single stroke by the Government.”

They said that the road ahead is filled with opportunities for all round development of the state however, handholding will be required for some time as many ills patronized by the dynastic rulers have become the norm in day to day public dealing.

Requesting the Government, the trade leaders have sought honest officers from all across India who can lay the foundation of an inclusive society having equal opportunities for all.
