Amaravati, Jun 5 (KNN) The Andhra Pradesh State Cabinet has greenlit a comprehensive industrial development initiative, approving the establishment of 175 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) parks across the state.
The proposal, submitted by the Industries and Commerce Department, will see one MSME park developed in each of the state's 175 Assembly constituencies as part of the government's 'One Family-One Entrepreneur' policy framework.
In a significant move toward technological advancement, the Cabinet has also sanctioned the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority's proposal to allocate 50 acres of land for developing a Quantum Valley in Amaravati.

The Cabinet has approved the establishment of the Andhra Pradesh State Quantum Mission, which will collaborate with premier institutions including IIT Madras, Tata Consultancy Services, and IBM.
This initiative aims to position the state as a hub for advanced research in quantum computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, with the potential to attract world-class researchers and substantial investments.
Under this quantum initiative, IBM will deploy a 156-qubit Quantum System 2 within the state, while TCS will contribute to software development efforts. Larsen & Toubro will participate in the development of the Quantum Valley Tech Park.
The mission is expected to drive cutting-edge research across multiple sectors, including cybersecurity, drug discovery, material science, and high-performance computing, thereby transforming Andhra Pradesh into a centre for quantum technology innovation.
To advance strategic planning, a Quantum Summit is scheduled for June, where international experts will collaborate on developing comprehensive action plans for the quantum technology sector.
In addressing critical infrastructure needs, the Cabinet approved a financial settlement of Rs 5.75 crore for providing safe drinking water through Reverse Osmosis plants to the Uddanam area and tribal regions in Srikakulam district under the NTR Sujala Pathakam scheme.
Additionally, Rs 8.22 crore has been sanctioned as a one-time settlement for establishing 15 water treatment plants to serve 533 water-scarce habitations across four mandals in the Kuppam constituency.
