AP Govt to set up MSME Park in every constituency to create jobs, says Industries Minister

Vishakapatnam, May 19 (KNN) The Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to set up a MSME Park in every constituency to create job opportunities for youth, State Minister for Industries and Commerce N Amarnath Reddy has said.

The Minister said this after he visited Achyuthapuram SEZ, Brandix, and APIIC One Stop Service Centre and other industrial facilities here on Thursday.

He said several food processing units were also coming up along with these parks in the next couple of years to benefit the farmers.

Reddy stressed that the AP Government is laying top priority for setting up industries and thereby provide employment opportunities to youth.

During the last two Partnership Summits, 59 MoUs for investment6s to the tune of Rs.93,000 crore were reached are yet to be grounded.

“We are making efforts to ensure all these MoUs are implemented before next year,” he said.

The Minister also informed that as many as 16 food processing units were into trial production shortly in north Andhra and they would greatly benefit the agricultural farmers.

He also disclosed that Rs.290 crore were being sanctioned as incentives for ferro alloys companies which were in the red in the state to bail them out. Last year Rs.272 crore were sanctioned for them, he added.

The minister also asked the officials to work for denotification of 2,236 acres in Achyuthapuram SEZ and also meet officials in Delhi.

They should also ensure completion of the denotification process of another 1,280 acres in the second phase, he said.
