Bihar Gears Up For Global Investors' Summit With Ambassadors' Meet In New Delhi
New Delhi, Dec 9 (KNN) The Bihar government is set to convene a significant diplomatic gathering in New Delhi on December 9, 2024, aimed at attracting international investment and highlighting the state's business-friendly environment.
The ‘Bihar Business Connect 2024 Ambassadors' Meet’ will bring together diplomatic representatives, government officials, and key trade bodies to explore investment opportunities across multiple economic sectors.
Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Samrat Chaudhary will inaugurate the event, which will feature high-level participation from state government leadership.
Nitish Mishra, Minister of Industry and Tourism, along with Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena and Industries Department Secretary Bandana Preyashi, will lead the state's presentation of economic initiatives.
Diplomats from prominent nations, including the United States, Russia, and Japan, have been invited to the meeting.
Additionally, representatives from leading trade organisations such as the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, TPCI, FIEO, and various bilateral business councils will be in attendance.
The event aims to provide a comprehensive overview of Bihar's recent policy reforms and investment-friendly ecosystem.
The ambassadors' meet serves as a precursor to the larger 'Bihar Business Connect 2024 Global Investors' Summit' scheduled for December 19-20, 2024, in Patna.
Government officials are optimistic about surpassing the previous year's investment achievements, with the 2023 edition attracting proposals worth approximately Rs 50,500 crore from 278 companies.
Nitish Mishra expressed confidence that the upcoming summit will mark the beginning of a new industrial era for Bihar.
The state has already grounded investment proposals worth Rs 38,000 crore and has conducted extensive roadshows in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Ludhiana, and Kanpur to promote the event and attract potential investors.
The comprehensive diplomatic outreach underscores Bihar's strategic efforts to transform its economic landscape and position itself as an attractive destination for domestic and international investment across sectors including textiles, leather, and food processing.
