GI Festival 2025 Showcasing Over 100 GI Products Inaugurated In Patna
Patna, Nov 27 (KNN) The Federation of Indian Micro and Small Enterprises (FISME) on Thursday inaugurated the GI Festival 2025 at City Center Mall, Patna, in partnership with the Bihar Industries Association (BIA).
The four-day exhibition, being held from 27–30 November, is supported by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
The organisers emphasised that the exhibition provides a platform for artisans and producers to showcase the cultural and economic value of GI goods and is expected to attract strong public interest in the coming days.
The event was inaugurated by BIA President Ram Lal Khetan in the presence of MSME Ministry Assistant Director Santosh Sahu, BIA General Secretary Amarnath Jaiswal, and FISME Director R.P. Singh. BIA members R.K. Chaudhary, Manish Kumar and Tanuja Sinha also attended the ceremony.
The festival features more than 100 Geographical Indication (GI) products from around 20 states, including Kullu shawls, Maheshwari and Chandeshwari sarees, Odisha brassware, Madhubani paintings, Sikki art, Malabar black pepper, Makhana and Ropuram cow ghee.
Exhibitors are showcasing a wide range of handicrafts, textiles, agricultural goods and traditional art forms.
The initiative aims to enhance public awareness of GI-tagged products and to explore opportunities for expanding their market reach.
