Chhattisgarh govt signs MoUs for setting up foodgrain based industries
Raipur, Jan 14 (KNN) The Department of Commerce and Industries, Chhattisgarh on Friday signed two MoUs for setting up foodgrain-based industries in state.
The agreements were signed at Udyog Bhawan in the presence of Chhattisgarh Industries Minister Kawasi Lakhma.
The first MoU was signed with Suruchi Foods Pvt Ltd, New Delhi, for nutritional supplements and fortified rice.
Under this partnership, the company will invest Rs 111.7 crore and generate employment for 800 people.
The MoU was signed by Bhuvnesh Yadav, Secretary, Industries Department, and Himanshu Gupta, Director, Suruchi Foods Pvt Ltd.
The second pact was signed with Unity Industries Pvt Ltd for ethanol extraction from maize-based corn starch and damaged rice.
As per the agreement, the company will invest Rs 183 crore and generate employment for about 120 people.
The other MoU was signed also by Bhuvnesh Yadavt and Basant Kumar Agrawal, Director of Unity Industries Pvt Ltd. (KNN Bureau)
