Cleaning drive launched to curb 'Single use of Plastic' at the Bari Brahmana Industrial complex

Srinagar, Oct 1 (KNN) Taking a cue from 'Swatch Bharat Abhiyan', a joint cleaning drive to curb single use plastic was launched on Tuesday at the Bari Brahmana Industrial complex with the collaboration of department of Industries & Commerce, Jammu and Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA).

While welcoming the General Manger DIC along with her team, officials of JKSPCB and members of industrial fraternity, Lalit Mahajan, President, BBIA, appreciated steps taken by industries department to educate the industrial fraternity with an appeal 'Pledge not to use Single Use Plastic Goods' to save environment and save Jammu and Kashmir from the menace of single use plastics to full fill the mission of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi  in respect of “Swachhta Hi Seva”.

General Manager, DIC, Jammu Namrita Dogra also requested the members to discontinue the manufacturing of products related to single use plastic by adopting other manufacturing process for the manufacturing of Biodegradable  products in near future to Save Environment.
