Conference on innovation for automotive electronics

Chennai, Sept 25 (KNN)  Tamil Nadu Technology Development and Promotion Centre of CII is organizing a Conference on Innovation for Automotive Electronics with the theme ‘New Horizons and Expanding Dimensions’ here on October-17.   
 
The event aims to support the convergence of the automotive engineering with modern Electronics and ICT systems.   
 
“The conference attempts to support growth and understand the trends in the area of automotive electronics. It aims to focus on key growth parameters like technology innovation, new products, new markets, next-generation technology and implications for adjacent industries (automotive and electronics),” an official notice said.

Among its main objectives are to: serve as an interaction platform for key stake holders from automotive, electronics, industrial and information technology etc to discuss and understand the trends in ICT area for auto-electronics; discuss and identify the key growth levers that support the trends in the auto-electronics industry; and to project the challenges, opportunities and expectations to the relevant stakeholders.
 
The conference would also facilitate technology brainstorming and other related needs of the members through cross-continent networking; evaluate potential partnerships for collaborative research and product development with Indian industries; facilitate knowledge sharing between industry and international organizations through bilateral / multilateral cooperation mechanism etc.
 
Sessions will be held on areas such as - New Horizons of Automotive Electronics Solution; Integrated Transportation System (iTS); and Expanding Market Dimensions.
 
There will also be a panel discussion on – Is Indian ready for the automotive future?
 
Eminent speakers who will address the conference include: Managing Director, Mercedez Benz Research and Development India, Manu Saale; Managing Partner, Impacting I GmbH and Co. KG, Oberhaching,  Dr. Andreas H Biagosch; Director, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Bhaskar Ramamurthi; Director, Semcon India, Eugen Wurzer; Managing Director, Bosch Automotive Electronics India, Panduranga Prabhu; Head of R&D, Volkswagen India, Frank Martin; Head - Technology (TPDS), Mahindra and Mahindra, Dr. Aravind Bharadwaj; VP-Plant Enginering and Vehicle Process Engineering, Renault-Nissan Automotive India Private Ltd, Biju Balendran; and  Global Head – Aerospace & Automotive Vertical, L&T Technology Services, Suresh Babu amongst others.

More than 250 senior management personnel from diverse industries all over India and abroad are expected to participate in the proposed conference.  (KNN/ES)
