DPCC does away with the free online registration of non-polluting ‘White’ category industries; to charge Rs 10,000 one-time fee

New Delhi, July 9 (KNN) The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has done away with the free online registration of non-polluting ‘White’ category industries after knowing that the units which are not entitled for the registration in non-conforming areas are taking advantage of this facility.

In wake of this, the DPCC decided to charge Rs 10,000 as a registration fees from white category units applying for registration.

In a notification, DPCC said “Since there is no fee for registration; the units which are not entitled for the registration in non-conforming areas are taking advantage of this facility. Hence, it was decided that all White category units applying for registration shall be charged one-time fee of Rs 10,000.”

Henceforth, no registration will be entertained without the requisite fee, it added.

The White category of industries pertains to those industrial sectors which are practically non-polluting, such as Biscuit trays etc. from rolled PVC sheet (using automatic vacuum forming machines), Cotton and woolen hosiers making (Dry process only without any dying/washing operation), Electric lamp (bulb) and CFL manufacturing by assembling only, Scientific and mathematical instrument manufacturing, Solar power generation through photovoltaic cell, wind power and mini hydel power (less than 25 MW).
