EEPC launches Jammu edition with BBIA President as Convener

Jammu, 18 Nov (KNN) Engineering Export Promotion Council India inaugurated the Jammu Chapter at the Jammu Convention Center under the Chairmanship of Mahesh Desai Chairman, EEPC India.

Lalit Mahajan, President of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) was nominated as Convener, EEPC Jammu (J&K) Chapter in presence of Kamna Raj Aggarwal, Regional Chairperson EEPC India, Pardeep K Aggarwal, Dy. Regional Chairman (NR), EEPC India Rakesh Suraj, Regional Director (NR), EEPC India, and other senior officials.

Mahajan conveyed his thanks to EEPC India for providing an responsibility as Convener of the Jammu Chapter and assured that he will provide all sort of support to EEPC India to encourage the Export of Engineering Goods fr0m Jammu & Kashmir for which he request all the Colleagues fr0m the Industrial Sector to enter in the Export of their Products for which all sort of guidance shall be provided by EEPC India.

“With the Opening of Jammu Chapter, we expect that the Export of Engineering Goods fr0m the Local Working Industry as well as New Entrepreneurs will scale a new heights in near future with the active support of EEPC India for the Identification of Products, DPR, Technical Knowhow, Marketing Support, Better Credit Facilities for Export Oriented Units, Buyer-Seller Meet at National /International Level. The aim is to provide the requisite support to Existing Industry to enter in the International Market for the Export of Quality Products and also take up the matter with the Ministry of Industries and Commerce for providing Fiscal Incentives for Export Oriented Units with the Reimbursement of Freight up to Nearest Port, Liberal Finance by the Banks etc.,” added Mahajan.

He also requested the Unit Holders for Exporting their goods Directly with the guidance of EEPC.

Mahesh Desai Chairman, EEPC India congratulated Lalit Mahajan and assured that EEPC India will provide all sort of support to him to encourage the Export of Engineering Goods fr0m Jammu & Kashmir.

EEPC India is a Trade and Investment Promotion Organization in India working under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Set up in 1955, EEPC India now has a membership base of over 12,000 out of which 60% are SMEs and caters to the Indian Engineering sector. As an Advisory body it actively contributes to the Policies of the Government of India and acts as an Interface between the Engineering Industry and the Government.

It organizes a large number of promotional activities such as buyer-seller meets (BSM) – both in India and Abroad, Overseas Trade Fairs/ Exhibitions, and India pavilions/information booths in selected Overseas Exhibitions to demonstrate the capabilities of the Indian engineering industry and to provide overseas buyers with true value as propagated by Brand India.

EEPC India has been the face of Indian Engineering Exports over a span of 65 years when India grew fr0m a Nation Exporting just USD 10 million of engineering goods in 1955 to USD 76.04 Billion in 2019-20 and is regarded as the Model EPC in India by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
