Financial literacy programme to be organized in Belgavi for aspiring women entrepreneurs

Belgavi, June 15 (KNN) Helping women to become self-employed, Laghu Udyog Bharti along with State Bank of India and GIZ is organizing a financial literacy program for women in Karnataka.

German Development Corporation (GIZ) will support women in getting loans from the banks by way of teaching them to create successful business model and have better understanding of running business successfully.

The programme would soon be conducted in Belgavi, said Priya Puranik, a city based MSME entrepreneur.

During the programme, the participants would be taught about creating a Successful Business Model. The aspiring women entrepreneurs would be deliberated on need for various clearances and its linkage with borrowing and what they need to do in order to make their existing business model successful.

Experts would also speak about key compliance measures required for a business to run successfully and about various government schemes.

During the 3-day programme, experts would talk on the need for SWOT analysis and on working of it.

The focus areas of training program will also be to help participants understand key improvements required in their business and how they can work on it. Additionally, participants will get hands on experience of understanding financial statements and their interpretation.

On the final day of the literacy programme, experts would speak on taking business to next level and management of personal finance.

Post day three participants will be able to understand steps required to maximize profits. Additionally, they will be able to learn management of personal finance.

“This is a very good initiative to boost entrepreneurship in the region. After attending the programme, the aspiring candidates will gain sufficient knowledge on managing finance and running business,” said Puranik. (KNN Bureai)
