New Delhi, Aug 7 (KNN) As many as 22 trainees have passed out of the National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) under the PPP mode from the state of Odisha in the year 2014-15, whereas 54 trainees had passed out in 2013-14.

NSIC has been successfully  encouraging people to take up entrepreneurship through its training/incubation centres by providing entrepreneurship development training to the unemployed people who want to set up new small business enterprises in any of the manufacturing / services sectors or seek employment opportunities, Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra said in a written reply in Rajya Sabha.

NSIC also supports similar training initiatives by entering into franchisee arrangements with private partners interested in setting up of Training-cum-Incubation Centres (NSIC-TIC) at various locations across the country under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.

The MSME Ministry implements programmes which also provide for financial support to entrepreneurs through various schemes such as, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme, Credit Linked Capital Subsidy Scheme, Credit Guarantee Scheme for Micro and Small Enterprises, National Manufacturing Competitiveness Programme, Cluster Development Programme for MSEs, Marketing Assistance Scheme, etc, he said.
