FOIJ's MSME delegation meet Governor’s advisor to discuss issue of non revision of safe axle weight

New Delhi, Aug 28 (KNN) A MSME delegation from Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) met Advisor to the Governor of J&K, Khurshid A. Ganai to discuss issues related to industrial sector of J&K in respect of non issuance of state government notification for the revision in the maximum safe axle weight as per the Government of India Notification No. S.O. 3467(E) dated 16th July 2018 issued by Ministry of Road Transport& Highway.

Expressing concern over this, Mahajan said “Our unit holders are facing problems as the Transport Department at Lakhanpur imposing heavy penalty of over load resulting transporters refused to load the material due to non revision of revise Axle Weight by the J&K government.”

The delegation was led by FOIJ Chairman Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Deepak Dhawan, Co-Chairman, Ajay Langer Convener & Suresh Mahajan, Sr. Vice President, BBIA, Ashok Kr. Jain, Vice President Association of Industries, Gangyal, Sh. Gagan Jain, General Secretary, SSI Association, Birpur & Sandeep Orhi Secretary, Association of Industries, Gangyal.

Besides, the issues in respect of exemption to industrial unit from water charges under water resources (Regulation & Management) Act, 2010 & toll tax exemption to industrial units on the import of Walnut from outside the state as their raw material were also discussed in detail during the interaction.

In this regard, Ganai assured the delegation to resolve the issues on priority basis.
