FOSMI - MSME DI to organize seminar on Bar Code in Kolkata

Kolkata, July 20 (KNN) With the view to aware the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) about Bar Codes, industry body FOSMI, along with MSME-DI Kolkata, is organizing a seminar here on July 28.
“A daylong seminar jointly organized by MSME-DI Kolkata, Ministry of MSME, Government of India and FOSMI on Bar Code on 28 July 2015,” said a notification.
Bar Code provides information on a product with regard to its item code or serial no., expiry date, consignor/consignee and other relevant data.
“Bar coding can have a significant impact on the success of an organization. Timely and accurate capture of product information and its communication electronically across the Supply Chain ahead of physical product flow is critical to lowering inventory cost, in accurate sales for casting and dynamic production scheduling and in product track and trace. In short, Bar Coding is an essential and indispensable instrument for doing business today,” FOSMI said. (KNN Bureau)
