FOSMI-PC Quest Magazine to conduct ‘SMB Yatra’ conference for MSMEs

New Delhi, Oct 12 (KNN) Eyeing at extending the digital footprint among the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) of the region, the Federation of Small and Medium Industries, West Bengal in association with PC Quest Magazine, Cyber Media group will be conducting a conference titles Small and Medium Business SMB Yatra.

The prime focus of the conference is to out to the Small and Mid-sized businesses throughout the country and empower them digitally.

It also aims to help the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) adopt and deploy technologies that can help the businesses grow better and faster.

The daylong conference is scheduled for 13^th October in Kolkata.  The conference will unfold under different themes including Programme with PC Quest.

Also the office of the Kolkata North CGST Commissionerate will hold a dedicated session on Goods and Services Tax for the MSMEs.

According to the MSME Annual Report for the year 2015-16, with over 51 million Small and medium enterprises present in the country, only a small share has digital footprint.  The report stated that lack of awareness and technological support is the prime reason behind the low rate.

The conference by FOSMI aims to address this gap in order to facilitate the transition of the MSMEs into a digital ecosystem. (KNN/ DA)
