FOSMI-QCI to organize ZED awareness program to encourage certification among MSMEs

New Delhi, Oct 17 (KNN) Eyeing at facilitating the Zero Defect Zero Effect scheme among the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region, the Federation of Small and Medium Industries (FOSMI) in association with Quality Council of India (QCI) will be organizing ZED awareness programs in the state of West Bengal.

FOSMI in a press statement said that considering positive participation during the previous such sessions, FOSMI and QCI will be conducting more of such programs.

The ZED programme envisages driving manufacturing with adoption of Zero Defect production processes without impacting the environment (Zero Effect) and encourages MSMEs to constantly upgrade their quality standards in products and processes.

Quality council of India has planned to cover 26000 MSMEs in the next two years under Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) model, the statement informed

The participating MSMEs at the program will be encouraged to register for ZED certification scheme and also undertake the assessment of their enterprises using ZED rating, FOSMI informed.

The federation is accepting application for participation and the early registration deadline closes on 18th of this month, the statement notified. (KNN/AG)
