Gujarat CM likely for extending plot usage in GIDC estates

Ahmedabad, June 29 (KNN) Addressing the issues related to the industrialists from GIDC estates, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel has hinted at extending plot usage deadline of GIDC estates located in four zones of Gujarat. 
 
Patel said this on Sunday during a group meeting with industrial associations from Vadodara, Bharuch, Dahod, Panchmahals, Anand and Kheda districts of central Gujarat via video conferencing yesterday. 
 
In the meeting, Patel suggested to form a comprehensive policy for financing the development works in GIDC estates. She also assured to form an Exit Policy to solve the issue of non-utilized GIDC plots.
 
She instructed for clear co-ordination between GIDC and local authorities for permitting construction work in the industrial plots fall within the municipal limits.
 
The Gujarat CM addressed issues pertaining to shortage of staff in larger estates, augmenting critical infrastructure projects and allocation of non-utilized GIDC plots.
 
Patel asked the officials to temporarily employ additional staff to meet the routine administrative work and to handle issues of major GIDC estates like Ankleshwar, Vapi, Naroda, Vatva, etc. She also asked to hold monthly meetings with industrial associations to resolve issues pertaining to GIDC estates. She also said to organize a meeting in the head office at every three months based on the outcome of monthly meetings at regional level.
 
Explaining the importance of environment, she directed GIDC officials to undertake adequate measures for disposal of industrial waste without posing any threat to environment. She also instructed to install separate meters by Narmada Water Resources Department for domestic use within the GIDC residential area. She also insisted to have an optional exit route in every estate.
 
Additional Chief Secretary (Industries & Mines) Arvind Agarwal, Managing Director of GIDC Manoj Agarwal and senior secretaries were also present in this meeting. (KNN Bureau)
