Gandhinagar, Feb 22 (KNN) Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced the distribution of financial assistance exceeding Rs 3,630 crore to more than 8,300 entrepreneurs during the 'Udyog Sahsikta Sanmaan Program' in Gandhinagar.

The event marked a significant milestone in the state's commitment to industrial development and entrepreneurship growth.

During the ceremony, Chief Minister Patel emphasised the success of national initiatives such as Make in India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Startup India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

He noted that Indian-manufactured products are now reaching global markets, including the United States, thereby actualising the vision of "Make in India, Make for the World."

The event witnessed several key developments, including the virtual inauguration of infrastructure facilities in GIDC areas across Bharuch, Porbandar, and Banaskantha.

The state government also allocated funds for developing infrastructure in Sanand GIDC 2.0 and launched various industry councils.

A notable initiative, the "Gunvatta Rath," was flagged off for a 50-day journey across Gujarat's districts to promote quality enhancement in businesses.

Industry Minister Balvantsinh Rajput highlighted Gujarat's industrial achievements, noting that the state currently contributes 33 percent of India's total exports.

He reported that the number of small entrepreneurs in Gujarat has increased from 13 lakh to 20 lakh in the past two years, with 100 of the world's top 500 companies investing in the state.

The government has implemented fast-track systems for industrial development, enabling land allotment within six days and bhumi poojan ceremonies within 60 days for incoming investors.

The program culminated with the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the state government and the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Medium and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) for a Rs 25 crore corpus fund.

The event was attended by prominent officials including Gujarat's Chief Secretary Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary M.K. Das, and Quality Council of India Chairman Jaxay Shah, along with numerous entrepreneurs and government officials.
