Gujarat Commits To Green Energy For Industries, Boosting Sustainability Goals: CM Patel
Gandhinagar, Mar 11 (KNN) Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has committed to providing green energy to industries throughout the state, building upon the government's successful implementation of green energy initiatives in the agricultural sector.
The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing the Planned Annual Meet-2025, where discussions centered around "Developed Gujarat-Powering A Prosperous India."
According to a release from the Gujarat Chief Minister's Office, Chief Minister Patel emphasised that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the country's outlook has fundamentally transformed.
He stated that India is now well-positioned to achieve developed nation status through ambitious resolutions and strategic goals.
The Chief Minister highlighted that Prime Minister Modi has adopted a comprehensive approach to promote green energy production and appropriation, and the Gujarat government is firmly committed to realising this vision.
He noted that during the last Vibrant Summit, half of the total Memorandums of Understanding prioritised green energy initiatives, demonstrating the state's dedication to environmental sustainability.
Chief Minister Patel further referenced Prime Minister Modi's call for India to take a leadership role in global development during this period. He assured that the Gujarat government is eager to assist and promote quality products manufactured in the state.
The Chief Minister emphasised that Gujarat's products can establish themselves as quality offerings in the globally competitive market through collaborative efforts between industry and the state government.
In his address, Chief Minister Patel urged consideration of the "smallest man in the industry-tax world" to ensure comprehensive and inclusive development across all sectors of society and the economy.
Swati Salgaocar, Chairperson of the Confederation of Indian Industry Western Region (CII WR), stated that the organisation has been working diligently with over 600 members to create new opportunities for business and industrial development in the state.
She noted that industrial development has advanced significantly due to supportive policies.
The Chairperson highlighted that Gift City, Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), and PA Mitra Park have emerged as attractive investment destinations within the state.
She expressed the organisation's commitment to industrial development through state advancement and anticipated that the annual meeting would represent a significant step toward achieving "Vikasit Gujarat" through collaboration between the Government of Gujarat and the CII.
CII Chairman Kulin Lalbhai observed that Gujarat's development is progressing in tandem with national industrial growth.
He expressed confidence that Gujarat is evolving into a robust center for economic development in India, noting that the state government consistently demonstrates its commitment to addressing industrial challenges.
Lalbhai further remarked that Gujarat is making significant progress across various industrial sectors, with the government actively promoting industrial advancement to reach new heights of achievement.
