Rajkot, Aug 29 (KNN) A micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) facilitation council has been established in Rajkot in the Saurashtra region.

Rajkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has been made a member of the council.

The council will address issues related to delays in payments of goods delivered on credit to the buyers in other states, as per industry sources. 

Currently, the facilitation council is located in Gandhinagar and the industry players have to go there to file the cases.

It was only after RCCI made representation to the state government that a centre was set up in Rajkot. 

The council will have Rajkot additional collector as its chairman. The other members of the council will include RCCI, district government pleader, and other industry players. 

This facilitation council will handle cases from Rajkot, Devbhumi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Kutch, Morbi and Porbandar districts.  (KNN Bureau)
