Flooding due to clogged sewers stalls production of 200 units in Gurugram

Gurugram, June 29 (KNN) About 200-250 industrial units in Sector 14 of Gurugram are struggling to operate because of the flooding caused by choked sewers after rainfall over the past few days.

Speaking exclusively with KNN India, Gurgaon Industrial Association (GIA), President, GN Mangla said, "This is the situation that units face every year despite our constant appeal to the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG)."

He lamented that the waterlogging in the absence of a drainage facility is making the units suffer by impacting production.

The area is submerged due to waterlogging after showers for the past few days in the absence of working draianage facility.

Gurugram a part of the National Capital Region (NCR) known as technology and industrial hub of the region remains to prone to such inconvenience directly hitting the units.

Further, Mangla told KNN India that the authorities assure us that the issue will be resolved but no action is taken yet.

Companies that have foreign delegation visiting their units are in a difficult situation due to the negligence of local authorities.  (KNN Bureau)
