Himachal Pradesh govt signs 253 MoUs worth Rs. 29,000 crore

Shimla, July 31 (KNN) The state government of Himachal Pradesh and capable entrepreneurs from different sectors have signed memorandum of understandings (MoUs) worth of Rs. 29,000 crore, said, Jai Ram Thakur, Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.
The CM chaired a meeting on the progress review meeting of Global Investors Meet held yesterday in Shimla with senior officers of the state government.
The CM said, “All the departments must ensure proper and constant cooperation with the possible investors to motivate them for investment in the state”.
Thakur said, “The mobile-based app ‘Rising Himachal’ and official website ‘risinghimachal.in’ is developed which should be used to showcase enough investment potential available in the state. Himpragati portal has also been developed for online tracking, monitoring and providing assistance to the investors”.
For the details of private and government land availability, an online land bank portal has been prepared.
As of now for the industrial purposes, nearby 1,600 acres of government land is available where the entrepreneurs can invest.
For the usage of unused buildings and land, every department needs to identify. For the approval of some policies, the government was in progress to ease the process of investment in the state, the CM added further.
Informing on the MoUs, he said, “Till now a total of 253 MoUs have been signed which would provide gainful employment to over 60,500 youths of the state."
During the meeting, it was proposed by the CM to organize two mini conclaves in Shimla and Kullu. It will be organized to facilitate the investors to sign MoUs in tourism, health care, and wellness, IT, education and skill development, real estates, power sectors.
