SITEG wants to outsource the operation and maintenance of Himachal State Wide Area Network (HIMSWAN) Support services for a period of three years.

Under HIMSWAN, the HP government wants to establish a minimum of 2 Mbps connectivity up to the block level through the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. This bandwidth may increase in phases to 16 mbps from one district to another and from district headquarters to the state capital.

The project aims to modernize the communication infrastructure in the State to create state of the art and reliable network for G2C, G2E, G2B and G2G interfaces.

The offices of Industries Department will be connected to the nearest Tehsil, Sub-tehsil or Block headquarters with Wireless Technology, MLLN or XSDL.

In this context, SITEG on behalf of the Department of Information Technology is seeking private system and network integrators to operate the project.
