Indian Bank Sanctions Rs 1,020 Crore Across MSME, Retail And Agriculture Segments
Amaravati, Aug 31 (KNN) Indian Bank sanctioned Rs 1,020 crore across retail, agriculture and MSME (RAM) segments during a mega credit camp held in Visakhapatnam in the presence of Managing Director and CEO Binod Kumar.
The credit camp was organised under the aegis of the Field General Manager’s Office (FGMO), Hyderabad, with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs, individuals and farmers and advancing the objectives of Viksit Bharat.
Indian Bank Targets Wider Credit Access
The initiative focused on improving access to institutional finance across key economic sectors while supporting entrepreneurship, agricultural activity and household financial needs, reported The Hindu.
MSMEs Receive Largest Share
The MSME segment received Rs 512 crore, accounting for the largest share of the total sanctions. Retail borrowers received Rs 351 crore, while Rs 157 crore was sanctioned to the agriculture segment.
Credit Camp Supports Entrepreneurship And Agriculture
The initiative is aimed at improving access to timely institutional finance across key economic sectors and supporting entrepreneurship, agricultural activity and household financial needs.
Binod Kumar said Indian Bank remains committed to driving inclusive economic growth and providing timely financial solutions to customers.
Field General Manager Rama Chandra Babu M., along with various zonal and MCB heads, participated in the outreach campaign, which sought to strengthen customer engagement and expand credit access across the three segments.
