MIA urges authorities to clear garbage waste near Bannimantap Industrial Area

Mysore, Mar 18 (KNN) The Mysore Industries Association (MIA) has urged the authorities concerned to take steps to get the garbage waste cleared near Bannimantap Industrial Area in the clean city of Mysore.

The General Secretary of MIA, Suresh Kumar Jain said that the road near SLV Industries in Bannimantap industrial area in Mysore are filled with garbage, which is causing inconvenience to industries nearby it.

Garbage dumping and burning is the major problem since long in the area that troubles industries around it, he added.

He stated that health inspectors, civil engineers deputed to this area have not taken any action so far with regard to these concerns.

In past few years the foot paths have been converted into waste dumping yard and no place has been reserved for waste dumping either by KIADB or MCC, he pointed.

Besides this, Jain said that most of the industries are not functioning well because of lack of government schemes, subsidies, incentives, rebates and etc.

He asked for basic minimum infrastructure like roads, drainage facility, clean foot paths and street lights in the area.

The Secretary further raised concerns related to higher rates of water and power bills along with commercial taxes.

Industrial units of this area are paying Water, Power Bill and building tax at commercial rate. (KNN/YV)
