More than 2000 job seekers recruited at Delhi mega job summit

New Delhi, Aug 12 (KNN) More than 2000 people have been recruited during the 11-day long Delhi Job Summit organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) partnered with Government of NCT of Delhi. Around 300 specially abled youths of Delhi also got recruitment as part of this summit.

On the occasion, Minister of Employment, Labour and Transport, Government of NCT of Delhi, Gopal Rai gave away the offer letters to the candidates who were selected as part of the summit.

He highlighted that more of these summits will be organised in Delhi to provide employments to the youths of state.

It is a new initiative by the Government of Delhi to revive the employment exchanges in state and help build confidence in the youths of Delhi, added Rai.

Chairperson, CII Delhi State Council, Alka Kaul said the search for a job in today’s context is indeed a task needing much effort due to high competition and lack of required skills.

It is not only difficult to find a job these days but also to find the right industry as per the skill set acquired. Employers also look to get the right person in place for a specific kind of job, she said. (KNN Bureau)
