MP gets its own start-up policy; Chouhan says 5 lakh MSMEs will be established in 2 yrs

Bhopal, Oct 3 (KNN) Union MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra along with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have launched a dedicated start-up policy for the state.

To facilitate the entrepreneurs in setting up the units in the state, the state government has decided to bring MSMEs under Public Service Guarantee Act.

While addressing the MSME convention here, Chouhan said orders related to capital grant, VAT reimbursement and entry tax rebate will be released in a month. He announced that a maximum rebate on land value from 90% to 95% will be made in slab of rebate being given to MSME units on the area of land allotted and its value.

Chouhan said 5 lakh MSMEs will be established in two years in the state.

Meanwhile, Kalraj Mishra said as many as 15 new technology centres will be set up with assistance of the World Bank. One of them will be set up at Acharpura of Bhopal at a cost of Rs 125 crore in which 8,000 entrepreneurs would be imparted every year. Margin money of Rs 160 crore has been made available for Madhya Pradesh and the state is leading in the country.

Mishra also laid foundation stone of technology center.

Mishra said incubation centre will be opened in Dewas and Amarkantak. Hoshangabad and Betul will be included in Sfurti Yojana of Union government in which traditional industries are being renewed.

He informed Shivpuri and Govindpura have been included in the cluster development.

Mishra also asked the state government to send proposal to encourage traditional industries in SC/ST-dominated 21 districts and to make SC-ST hub for establishment of new industries. The proposal will be examined and approved, he assured.
