Guwahati, May 21 (KNN) MSME Export Promotion Council (EPC) and BillMart Fintech, a knowledge firm will jointly facilitate 10,000 units in Assam with timely credit in the current financial year. 

Both the parties will also help 100 start-ups in the agro-based sector with credit in the state.

This was announced during a meeting with Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry Minister Atul Bora. 

Appreciating the initiatives, the Agriculture Minister asked the two organisations to undertake on-ground survey and establish integrated 'incubator centres' with marketing arrangements. 

He also invited them for an interactive session with the concerned officials of the state government and assured them full support. 

“We are happy to note from the report that our Government's various initiatives for bringing investment and generating employment in Assam has already started showing positive numbers,” he said. 

The various initiatives by MSME EPC and BillMart will be evaluated by the government and we will take required steps to provide MSMEs with finance, technology, knowledge and more business, the minister said.  (KNN Bureau)
