MSME-Samsung Technical School in Varanasi set in motion

Varanasi, Dec 6 (KNN)  MSME Minister, Kalraj Mishra inaugurated the MSME – Samsung Technical School for advanced repair and industrial skills enhancement here to meet the skilled manpower requirement in the MSME sector of the state.

The facility here was inaugurated yesterday as a part of the nationwide initiative that is being implemented by the Ministry of micro, small and medium enterprises and Samsung India Electronics Private Limited.

The nationwide programme will be skilling more than 10,000 youth per year to enhance their employability.  With an industry linked dual system of learning, it will motive youth to become entrepreneurs by establishing service centres, a press notification said.

Implementing institutes of the technical school are MSME Technology Centres in Central Tool Room (CTR)-Ludhiana, Circle Telecom Training Centre (CTTC)-Kolkata, Institute for Design of Electrical Measuring Instruments (IDEMI)-Mumbai, Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC)- Bhubaneswar, Indo German Tool Room (IGTR)-Aurangabad, Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD)-Hyderabad, Indo German Tool Room (IGTR)-Ahmedabad, Electronics Service and Training Centre (ESTC)-Ramnagar (in Delhi), Indo Danish Tool Room (IDTR)-Jamshedpur (in Varanasi),  and Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD)-Hyderabad (in Chennai).

Complementing the regular syllabus ongoing at these institutes, Samsung’s Technical Schools run the Advanced Repair and Industrial Skills Enhancement (ARISE) training program, designed to impart hands-on, trade specified training to these students.

Additionally, soft skills courses for smoother consumer interaction through theory as well as hands-on practical knowledge are also provided. Students will also benefit from on the job training at Samsung manufacturing facilities and authorised service centres.  (KNN/ES)
