Noida, Jan 31 (KNN) Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA) today said its members are considering a proposal to shift to Madhya Pradesh as these small units in the area continue to face problems like water and electricity shortage, raw material scarcity and lack of security.

“At present, Noida industries are considering the proposal of the Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IIDC), Gwalior to shift our base to Madhya Pradesh.

“However, we have placed before them certain conditions and in case we receive certain assurances in writing, we will certainly consider their offer,” President of NEA, Vipin Malhan told KNN.

Media report suggests that officers of the Gwalior based IIDC had visited Noida wooing the industries in the NCR region. They were assured 24x7 power supply.

Malhan said in this context no contact has been established by the Uttar Pradesh Government with the NEA.

The basic facilities which should be provided by the UP Government to run the industries have not been given and we are battling daily with the basic problems, Malhan said.

About 7, 000 MSMEs are located in Noida and in case IIDC of MP agrees to the demands by these units, about 10 to 15 per cent units will shift immediately, NEA President said.
He also claimed that this could result in job losses of about one lakh people in the area.

NEA is one of the pioneer Associations in UP representing more than 6000 Small and Medium Industries. Besides the team of 12 Office, there is an Executive Committee of 58 Members taken from all the Sectors proportionately according to the membership strength in each sector. (KNN/SD)
