New Delhi Jan 1 (KNN) Delhi woke up at New Year morning to support a cause to take their cars on roads as per the Odd Even formula implementing from today. The response is overwhelming and Delhities are supporting the cause.

Only odd numbers cars are allowed on the roads of National capital on a very first day of the New Year.

Meanwhile, KNN caught up some car owners who said that they can support this formula for the sake of their childrens future, so that they can breathe in a non-toxic air.

The pollution level in Delhi is very high and the capital is considered the most polluted capital in the world.

However, there are some people who are happy with this formula but at the same time fear impact on their businesses.

KNN talked to the industrialists of Delhi- NCR, they said that they support the cause, but it is a tough task for them as they have to come to Delhi on every day for their businesses unlike the office jovs.

The Supreme Court has already implemented the complete ban on sale on Diesel cars till the March end this year.

Most of the Industries are set up in NCR region of the National capital.

One of the Industrial from Ghaziabad told KNN that he can’t go to Delhi today to attend a Business meeting, but has to take a private cab or use public transport.

A industrial from Gurgaon told that by not allowing trucks in Delhi will affect their business and will lead to increase in the cost of production which has to be born by the consumer at the end.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal the chief minister of Delhi is very happy with overwhelming response, "I am truly overwhelmed by the response. People have achieved the impossible. I am sure Delhi will show the way," said Arvind Kejriwal.

Many offices and residents' associations have arranged car-pools. The union home ministry has also organised car-pooling for its officers.

Today, only odd-numbered cars are allowed on the roads as part of a 15-day plan to allow private vehicles on alternate days.  (KNN Bureau)
