Odisha industrial policy proposes to create Rs 100 cr IIDF

Bhubaneswar, May 25 (KNN) The draft Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) 2015 of Odisha government has proposed to create an Industrial Infrastructure Development Fund (IIDF) with the capital of Rs 100 crore to meet budgetary gap of any department to provide quality external infrastructure to any industrial cluster or park.

According to a media report, a high level meeting was held on Saturday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and discussed IPR -2015 with an objective to woo investors around the world over to Odisha.

The draft policy suggested for providing capital grants for infrastructure to new industrial cluster parks in private sector to the extent of 50 per cent limiting to Rs 10 crore.

It also suggested that , the capital grants could be given up to 50 per cent limiting to Rs five crore to upgrade infrastructure in existing industrial parks clusters.

Manufacturing units in MSME sector adopting zero effluent or waste water discharge will get 20 per cent of the capital cost of effluent treatment plant limiting to Rs 20 lakh.

IPR 2015 focused on business facilitation and envisages on strengthening of institutional framework for single window system to ensure timely clearance and ease of doing business.

It also wanted the technology to be leveraged to accord approval and facilitate sanction of incentives in transparent, time bound manner and reduce physical interface. (KNN Bureau)
