Odisha MSMEs want transfer of state MSME Secy and DCP for their alleged "misconduct"

Bhubaneswar, May 28 (KNN) Since last 14 days, there is a protest going on in Odisha by members of different Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME) associations in the State for taking the MSMEs grievances for granted and "misbehaving" with the entrepreneurs of the Jagatpur Industrial Estate.

Revealing the matter to KNN India, Chairman of Orissa Industries Association, Abani Kanungo said “The protest is going on in the state from past 14 days because of the police ill behaviour with respect to the assault of two entrepreneurs of Jagatpur Industrial Estate.

Quoting the reason of assault, Kanungo mentioned that there is no power generation in this area since last 15 days and when the entrepreneurs approached the MSME secretary for their grievances and called him to the assistant hall, he denied to move because of which all this had happened.

Sharing the demands on behalf of MSME entrepreneurs of the state, he said “MSME Secretary should be transferred and the concerned DCP should be transferred.”

Representatives of Odisha Industries Association, Odisha Vyabasai Mahasangha, Odisha Association of SMEs, Odisha Industries Federation, Odisha Small Scale Industries’ Association, Utkal Pharmaceutical Manufacturers’ Association, Balasore Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Odisha Young Entrepreneurs’ Association, All Industries and Entrepreneurs of Bhubaneswar Association have been staging dharna in front of all DICs in the State.
