Over 17,000 job seekers attend Udyog Mela organized by KSSIDC & KASSIA

Bengaluru, Aug 3 (KNN) More than 17,000 job seekers took part in the Bruhat Udyog Mela organized by KSSIDC in association with KASSIA at Regional Institute of Cooperative Management here. While 303 candidates were selected, 5,644 candidates were cleared for the final round.

Addressing the Udyog Mela, Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy expressed his happiness at the tremendous response received from the job seekers, and said the initiative was held at the behest of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to spur job creation in the State.

About 103 companies from various sectors such as IT-BT, ITeS, Manufacturing, Automobiles, Banking, Sales and Retail, Telecom, KPO, BPO, Hospitality, Health Care, Insurance, Security etc participated in the Udyog Mela which was managed by Net Aspire and Adret Infotech.

Prior to the event, a website of Udyog Mela was launched by R.V. Devaraj, MLA, Chickpet, Bangalore, to facilitate job seekers to register on the website.

Job applicants present included SSLC pass and above including graduates and post-graduates from engineering, technical, manufacturing, and finance streams, among others.
