Scientists visit Mysore Printers Cluster to study challenges, propose advanced technology

Mysore, Aug 4 (KNN)  A team of scientists from the Ministry of Science and Technology today visited the Mysore Printers Cluster here to study various aspects of the industry such as technology adopted, challenges faced and propose advanced technology to improve productivity.

The team represents the Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, according to President, Mysore Printers Cluster, Suresh Kumar Jain.

The team comprises of Executive Director, TIFAC, Prabhat Ranjan, Scientists Sanjay Sing, Rahul Kumar, Director M.S Ramiah University Applied Sciences, Nagendra Prasad, G Devekumar and Vibahav who will study the status of present technology adopted, challenges faced by them and also propose advance technology to improve their productivity and quality under the Ministry of Science and Technology TIFAC MSME Programme mandate, Jain said.

After the Interaction with the printers, the team will also visit a few printing presses in Mysore.

Recently, Printers of Mysore promoted Mysore Printers Cluster to develop a Common facility Centre to provide advanced printing facilities under one roof with 80 per cent assistance from the Ministry of MSME.

Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Karnataka has also recommended Mysore Printers Cluster for approval by the Ministry of MSME. (KNN/ES)
