New Delhi, July 10 (KNN) In a bid to empower entrepreneurs, the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) is facilitating MSMEs in Uttar Pradesh through its micro enterprises promotional program (MEPP).

SIDBI will provide all kinds of assistance to budding entrepreneurs in 10 districts of the state and also help them start their own businesses.

This program has already been launched in Varanasi and Ghazipur district of the state where SIDBI is helping create entrepreneurs under MEPP.

It will soon launch the program in 8 more districts across the state, including Allahabad, Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Jhansi and three other districts.

Under this initiative, the SIDBI will impart training, prepare project report and provide proper guidance for running the business.

For easing out financial constraints, the SIDBI will help arrange funds for the budding entrepreneurs through local banks.

The SIDBI is looking for local agencies through which it will implement the micro, entrepreneur promotional program in other districts of the state.

It is also planning to align one district one product (ODOP), flagship program of the Yogi government, with its micro, entrepreneur promotional program.

In this regard, Arun Kumar, general manager, SIDBI said “Products selected under the ODOP program will be promoted through the micro, entrepreneur promotional program of the SIDBI.”

Under ODOP scheme of MSME ministry of state, yogi government has  identified 75 products, including carpets of Bhadohi, brassware of Moradabad, locks of Aligarh, famous black pottery of Mirzapur, crockery of Khurja, leather of Agra and Kanpur, in as many districts that are indigenous. These products have made the respective districts famous.

The state government will extend all kind of possible to promote these products be it related to providing financial support to MSME, artisans, traders or to technical up gradation and marketing support.
