New Delhi, Nov 30 (KNN) The BJP-ruled South Delhi Municipal Corporation, after launching an online system for trade and storage licence last week, has come out with the advertisements to aware the entrepreneurs about the initiative.

Massive publicity drives including radio and newspaper ads are being carried to create awareness among the stakeholders regarding the new initiative.

The initiative has been started to improve the "Ease of doing business" and in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India initiative. The online system aims to reduce the level of corruption within their departments and abolition of "inspector raj", along with easing off the pressure on traders by providing a user-friendly interface.

The online system has an integrated message-cum-email system which immediately acknowledges the user whenever any registration is made. The registration fee is proposed to be Rs 1,100 and the payment can be made online at the time of submission of the application.

The citizens doing commercial/professional activities can now get trade license without visiting the municipal body. (KNN Bureau)
