Hyderabad, Nov 6 (KNN) IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao has urged the senior IFS officers and Indian Ambassadors abroad to promote Telangana State as a destination for foreign investments. He solicited the co-operation of the diplomats in promoting Telangana as an ideal investment destination.

Interacting with senior IFS officers (1992-1994 batches), in Hyderabad at an annual dinner hosted by the State government, Rama Rao explained about the various proactive industrial policies of the State government. He stated that the world’s Top 5 IT companies – Apple, Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon – had set up their largest base outside of their headquarters in Hyderabad.

He also informed that the State was constructing the world’s largest Pharma City in Hyderabad which manufactures one in every three of world’s vaccines.

Andrew Fleming, UK Deputy High Commissioner to AP and Telangana at Hyderabad, shared his experience at the interactive session and felt that it was time for more UK companies to look at the offers in the state.

He also advised UK investors to consult the UK Department of International Trade-India for necessary help. He said he was impressed by the State’s achievements in its first five years with strong focus on Ease of Doing Business (EoDB).
