Telangana SLBC proposes allocation of Rs 21,420 crores for MSME loans in annual credit plan for FY 2019-20

Hyderabad, May 31 (KNN) With an outlay of Rs 1.46 lakh crore, theTelangana State Level Bankers’ Committee presented the annual credit plan for the year 2019-20 for Telangana State and proposed allocation of Rs 21,420 crore loans to to Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.

As per the annual credit plan for the State, about 76 lakh people are eligible to avail various loans from the banks in the State.

The annual credit plan is up by about Rs 10,000 crore over last financial year’s Rs 1.36 lakh crore.

Besides Rs 21,420 crore loans proposed for allocation to MSME sector, the banks will release loans amounting to Rs 11,336 crores towards other priority sectors including education, housing, renewable energy, social infrastructure and others. Loans amounting to 44,885 crore have been allocated to non-priority sectors for the current fiscal.

Principal Secretary Finance, K Ramakrishna Rao told the bankers that the farm loan waiver file was in circulation. The longest model code of conduct period would soon be over and the activities of government would pick up in June.
