Bhopal, May 9 (KNN) In a bid to attract investment from large industries, the Madhya Pradesh Industries Department has proposed three new industrial belts in Machal, Chirakhan in Depalpur and Mohana districts of the state.

There is a proposal of setting up a food park on 100 acres of land in Machal in Depalpur Tehsil.

Talking to press, Kumar Purushottam, MD of Udhyogik Kendra Vikas Nigam (AKVN) said that the three industrial belts are being set in Indore targeting at economic prospects in the region.  The belt proposed for the Machal area will be made exclusively for the food manufacturing and allied industries whereas the other two industrial belts will be open for other industry.

The belts were initially set on the outskirts of the city, but the Industry Department observed that the industries fail to operate in isolated areas, therefore these proposed belts are being made keeping in mind the need of proper infrastructure and connectivity.
