UP govt launches facility of online GOs being sent through emails

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, while inaugurating the service here on July 4, has said that the state government has taken many steps to ensure transparency in officials work and facility of putting all government orders (GO's) online is already in place.
He further added that with the provision of GO's being made available on e-mails, a giant leap has been taken in both transparency and facilitating the common people.
The Chief Minister said so after inaugurating the facility wherein in online GO's would be available on e-mails once a person registers himself/ herself on the website.
After the new service launched, people will not have to contact officials and they would get instant and complete information of government welfare schemes and programmes promptly and correctly, the UP CM said.
Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan said that the facility was a significant step in e-governance and the facility will also prompt transparency in government work.
Secretary, Sachivalaya Administration, Prabhat Mittal detailed the scheme and said that person’s desirable to get these GO's delivered in their mail boxes will have to register themselves on the http://shasanadesh.up.nic.in main page on a set format.
All GO's have been made online and on internet from March 01, 2014 and till now 25,217 government orders have been uploaded on the website and more than 7.5 lakh people have either viewed them or downloaded them. (KNN Bureau)
