Greater Noida To Develop 174-Acre Multi-Modal Logistics Park In Dadri, Integrating Air, Rail & Road Cargo

Noida, May 26 (KNN) The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority has announced plans to develop a second multi-modal logistics park spanning 174 acres in Dadri, positioning the region as an integrated cargo handling hub with comprehensive air, rail, and road connectivity.

The facility will be located in Dadri's Sector Kappa II, adjacent to the existing Inland Container Depot and the upcoming Noida International Airport.

The proposed logistics park is designed to leverage existing transportation infrastructure while creating new connectivity pathways.

The facility will be positioned next to the Concor-operated dry port and will establish connections to both the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors.

This strategic placement is intended to create seamless integration across multiple transportation modes.

The development will feature an intermodal container terminal capable of handling cargo containerisation and transportation via road, railway, and air networks.

Additional infrastructure will include specialised cargo handling yards, warehouses equipped with cold storage capabilities and mechanised systems, and dedicated terminals for both bulk and break-bulk cargo operations.

Greater Noida Authority has established substantial investment thresholds for potential developers.

Companies seeking land allotment must propose minimum investments of Rs 1,200 crore, excluding land acquisition costs, which are estimated at approximately Rs 800 crore.

The authority has also mandated that applicants demonstrate at least ten years of operational experience in the logistics sector, specifically in managing inland container depots or rail terminals.

The Greater Noida Authority commenced accepting applications for land allotment on Friday, marking the formal launch of the procurement process.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority is simultaneously developing an additional multi-modal logistics park at Tappal Bajna, located approximately ten kilometers from the airport.

This 200-hectare facility forms part of YEIDA's comprehensive master plan for the region, which also encompasses the proposed Film City project.

The convergence of these multiple logistics developments represents a coordinated effort to establish the Greater Noida region as a major cargo handling and distribution center.

The integration of air, rail, and road transportation networks through these facilities is expected to enhance the region's competitive position in India's logistics sector and support broader economic development objectives in the National Capital Region.
