IIT Mandi to train 200 students, teachers from UP in new age technology

Lucknow, June 3 (KNN) A group of 100 students and 100 teachers (50 each from inter colleges and ITIs) from Uttar Pradesh are attending a one-month summer training on new age technology like advanced computing, AI Robotics and internet of thing at IIT Mandi in Himachal Pradesh.

Kapil Dev Aggarwal, Skill Development Minister of UP and secondary education minister Gulab Devi flagged off five buses carrying 100 students and 100 teachers.

The training is part of an MoU signed between UP Skill Development Mission and IIT Mandi, reported TOI. 

The course will begin on June 5 and it will equip the students with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue new employment opportunities in India and abroad.

Upon completion of the courses, these teachers will return as master trainers, equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to facilitate similar courses in inter colleges and Industrial Training Institutes.

A government official said, “We will be able to start a series of these new courses through these teachers in inter colleges and ITIs. By strengthening the profile of the participating students and offering them access to cutting-edge technologies, this programme opens doors for their future careers in sectors like artificial intelligence, advanced computing and robotics.”  (KNN Bureau)
