UP govt inks MoU with Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Korea to boost economic, cultural and educational ties

Lucknow, May 23 (KNN) The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday signed an agreement with Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Republic of Korea to enhance educational, economic and cultural ties between the two.
The MoU was signed by UP’s Infrastructure & Industrial Development Commissioner Manoj Kumar and Director General, Bureau of Economic & Industrial Affair, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province, Lee Youngseok, in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The MoU will allow students from UP to pursue higher education in universities located in Gyeongsangbuk-do, providing support to increase the workforce from UP in companies within Gyeongsangbuk-do, promoting Korean language education for potential UP workforce to be employed by companies in Gyeongsangbuk-do amongst others.
It will also aim to set up a Biennial Gyeongsangbuk-do Fair (GB-Fair) in Noida with the assistance of the UP administration. The fair will look to facilitate exchange and investment of business-people across various industries and promoting friendly relations between the two regions through cultural exchanges.
The MoU marks a significant milestone in enhancing bilateral cooperation between Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Uttar Pradesh and the exchange of expertise and the promotion of mutual investments will contribute to the prosperity and progress of Gyeongsangbuk-do and UP, an official statement from the UP government said.
