UP Ministers reach Chennai to draw investments from entrepreneurs, industrialists
Lucknow, Jan 9 (KNN) After kicking off domestic roadshows in Mumbai last week, a delegation of ministers and senior officials of Uttar Pradesh government arrived in Chennai on Sunday to attract investments ahead of the Global Investors Summit 2023.
The UP government team is on a three-day visit to meet entrepreneurs, industrialists and lure them towards making it 'Uttam Pradesh' and a USD one trillion economy.
The meetings, starting Sunday night will conclude with the breakfast on Tuesday, reported TOI.
It is likely that more than 150 industrialists from Chennai will attend the roadshow which is a part of the nine domestic roadshows, to be held in nine metropolitan cities initiated off by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Earlier in December, eight delegations of ministers and senior officials visited 21 cities in 16 countries and received investment proposals worth Rs 7.12 lakh crore.
The team includes ministers Suresh Khanna, Nitin Agarwal, Aseem Arun, and Narendra Kashyap, and senior officials UP Defense Industrial Corridor chief nodal officer RKS Bhadauria, ACS, MSME, Amit Mohan Prasad, UPPCL chairman M Devaraj, IIDD principal secretary Anil Sagar, excise commissioner Senthil Pandian and CM Yogi Adityanath’s advisor KV Raju will have one to one meetings with 25 industrialists on the basis of business to government (B2G).
