UP MSME Dept assigned Rs 1 trillion target for Global Investors Summit
Lucknow, Jan 4 (KNN) Ahead of the Global Investors Summit (GIS), the Uttar Pradesh government has set Rs 1 trillion as the investment target for its MSME Department.
Overall the Yogi Adityanath-led administration has increased the investment target by 70 per cent to Rs 17 trillion due to the encouraging response from the recent roadshows in foreign countries.
Earlier net private investment for the summit which will take place in Lucknow from February 10–12, 2023 was set at Rs 10 trillion which has been increased to Rs 17 trillion.
During the series of roadshows that took place in 16 nations in December, about Rs 7 trillion in state investment proposals were obtained.
The departments of IT & electronics, MSME, energy, housing, and the Greater Noida authority have been assigned investment targets of Rs 1 trillion each.
Investment targets of departments of textile, civil aviation, PWD, urban development, etc have also been upgraded.
The UP State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) has also been mandated to attract investment of Rs 1 trillion from entrepreneurs looking to set up industrial units in the state. (KNN Bureau)
