Each centre will train about 250 persons and the training period will be three to six months depending on the kind of course/module.

A special request for proposal was taken out by the government in January 2023 to implement the Start-up Training Policy, 2023.

In response, 233 institutions applied for registration as start-up training providers, of which, 169 applicants were selected. Another 12 institutions have been asked to weed out errors fr0m their proposals to get accepted.

The state government will now enter into a MoU with the selected 169 firms which will pave way for allotment of students so that their training may begin.  (KNN Bureau)
