YEIDA plans to develop multiple industrial parks in sector 10 of Greater Noida

Noida, Aug 2 (KNN) The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is planning to develop several new industrial parks in Sector 10 of Greater Noida.

As per reports, the proposed parks includes a leather footwear, goods & accessories park, plastic processing park, handloom park and an electric vehicle park.

These parks are in addition to the semiconductor and electronic manufacturing hubs, which were earlier announced to be developed on about 500 acres of land.

Speaking about the proposed parks, YEIDA CEO Arun Vir Singh said, “The proposal for their development has been approved by the Authority’s board. The process of land acquisition for industrial parks in Sector 10 of Yamuna Authority is underway.”

The CEO informed that the Council of Leather Exports, operating under the ministry of commerce and industry, had proposed the leather park, which would focus on manufacturing leather-related accessories, footwear and garments.

All India Plastic Industries Association also proposed the plastic processing park, garnering interest from 216 association members keen on establishing their industries in the area.

In a move to support traditional craftsmanship, the handloom handicraft welfare association's proposal was approved for the establishment of a Handicraft park.

The new sector will also house the electric vehicle manufacturing park for which YEIDA received a proposal from the electric vehicles manufacturers welfare trust. This ambitious project is expected to attract an investment of Rs 15,000 crore.

Moreover, for the semiconductor and electronics manufacturing park, several foreign companies, including those from Taiwan, have shown interest.   (KNN Bureau)
