Vice President Venkaiah Naidu to inaugurate SKILLS 2017 international conference

New Delhi, Nov 6 (KNN) Eyeing at facilitating dialogue of the different stakeholders with regard to Digital India for Rural Empowerment and to provide impetus to the ongoing Digital India programme, SKILLS 2017 international conference is being organized on November 16th and 17th. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu is expected to inaugurate the conference.

The event will take place at Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana, Hyderabad.

Eminent personalities including Ravindra Vikran, Chairman REEDS and Richard W Oliver, CEO of American Sentinel University are expected to be a part of the event.

Also key government officials including Rama Rao KT, Minister for I T, Govt of Telangana and Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Govt of Telangana are to be a part of the conference.

During the two day international conference, a diverse group of stakeholders is expected to discuss, debate, deliberate and decide on the best means to identify the challenges and create the solutions necessary to ensure Leveraging Digital India for Rural Empowerment,

The prime focus of the conference is to identify and debate the opportunities and challenges associated with leveraging Digital India for creating life and livelihood skills that could facilitate rural income. Also the conference aims to propose initiatives for central, state and local government policies and programs in order to achieve overall economic growth.

The program further targets to engage corporations, NGOs and social and business entrepreneurs to create long-term demonstration projects, commercial models, products, programs and services necessary to accelerate Digital India for sustainable rural economies.

The two-day conference is to have different thematic sessions including sessions on digital agriculture, digital education and digital infrastructure. (KNN/DA)
