WB govt holds road-show to promote synergy state MSME conclave

New Delhi, Aug 10 (KNN) In a bid to promote a two day ‘Synergy State MSME Conclave’, a road show was held at Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday to encourage MSMEs' participation in the conclave.

The two-day Synergy State MSME Conclave is being organized by the Bengal Government on August 20-21, 2018.

State MSME Secretary Alapon Bandhyopadhay held a road show to woo MSMEs to participate in the conclave apart from conducting district-level meetings.

West Bengal has 52,69,814 MSME units, accounting for 11.62 per cent of the overall number.

In 2017, the state recorded the biggest bank credit flow to the MSME sector in the last five years at USD 15 billion.

The conclave expected to be attended by over 5,000 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and experts from various fields.

It will focus on lean manufacturing, rural entrepreneurship, SME listing (initial public offering), export orientation for MSMEs, industrial infrastructure and institutional strengthening.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will inaugurate the event.
